Michele is full professor at University of Miami. Prior to joining the University of Miami, he has been Professor at the University of Naples Federico II and University of Sannio. He has held positions at Qatar Computing Research Institute (Doha, Qatar) as Research Director and at ABBVIE Biotherapeutics (Redwood City, CA) as Director of Computational Biology. Michele has given contributions in the field of Machine Learning and Systems Biology in  Cancer Genomics. His main research interest are the identification of the main drivers of cancer progression and drug resistance through the analysis and dissection of molecular networks. Michele served as chair of the PhD Program in Computational and Quantitative Biology at the University of Naples “Federico II”.
